Time Zone Settings

Your Volgistics account has a default time zone setting. In addition, each System Operator can have a time zone set.

Administrative Tasks

Some of the instructions in this help topic may require Account Administrator level access to your system. If you are not the Volgistics Administrator for your organization you may need to contact them for assistance.

Default Time Zone

Your account has a default time zone setting. Each time you add a new System Operator their time zone is initially set to this default time zone.

To set the default time zone for your account:

  1. Choose Setup from the menu.
  2. Select Other Options.
  3. Select Date and Time Settings.
  4. Select your default time zone.
  5. Click the Save button.

You will need to exit Volgistics and log in again in order for the change to take effect.

System Operator Time Zones

Each System Operator also has a time zone setting. This makes it possible for Volgistics to localize date and time values for individual System Operators, even in organizations where some System Operators work in different time zones.

If a System Operator's time zone setting is not set to the time zone where they normally work, they may not see the correct date or time in Volgistics fields that default to the current date and time, or on the Who's Here page.

To adjust a System Operator's time zone setting:

  1. Choose Setup from the menu.
  2. Select System Operators.
  3. Click on the System Operator's name.
  4. Choose this System Operator's correct time zone under This operator's time zone.
  5. Click the Save button.

This change will take effect the next time the System Operator logs-in to Volgistics.

Using Current Time button on Who's Here page

When editing entries on the Who's Here page, the Add current time button uses the time on the computer you are using to edit the entry. So if this is incorrect, you will need to correct the local computer's time setting instead of following the directions to update your account.

Daylight Saving Time

Volgistics automatically adjusts the time for time zones that observe daylight saving time on the days of the year when the time changes to or from daylight saving time.
