Test a New Set¶
If you've just defined a new Set (or changed an existing one) it's a good idea to test your Set to be sure it includes the volunteers you expect. To test a Set:
- Choose Volunteers from the menu.
- Under the Include section, use the Sets dropdown list to select the Set you want to test.
- Click the All link near the top of the Volunteers page to display a list of all of the volunteers in the Set.
This list should include all of the volunteers you expect to see in the Set, and none that you don't. If necessary you can spot-check as many of the volunteers as you'd like to be sure they meet the rules you've defined for the Set. For example, if your set should include volunteers who have at least 1,000 life hours, and who have the Adult Type; you would examine the Core tab to see that they have at least 1,000 life hours in the Statistics box, and Adult in the Type field.
When you're finished testing, clear your Include settings like this:
- Choose Volunteers from the menu.
- Under the Include section click the Clear link.
If you discover that your Set includes volunteers you didn't want to include, or is missing volunteers you did want to include, return to Sets and modify your rules as needed. To modify a Set definition:
- Choose Sets from the menu.
- Click on the name of the Set you want to modify.
- Make any changes you'd like to the Set's rules.
- Click the Finished button when you're finished.
